Draft for review. Have a lawyer check this page before launch.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, business name, mobile number, email, current website, and which places you'd like to connect (Google, Instagram, Facebook).
- Messages you send us, including photos, and the changes and posts we make from them.
- Your site's content and its version history.
- Information from accounts you connect. See Connected accounts below.
- Basic technical data from visitors to sites we host (such as browser type and pages viewed) to run and secure the service.
How we use it
- To build, host, and update your site, to update the accounts you connect, and to send you previews and confirmations.
- To review changes for accuracy and safety.
- To contact you about your account and setup.
- To improve the service, using data from our own service (not data from your connected Google or Meta accounts).
We use AI tools to draft changes and post captions from your messages. Those tools process your messages only to provide the service.
Connected accounts
You can connect your Google Business Profile, your Facebook Page, and your Instagram professional account. You do this by signing in on Google's or Meta's own login page and approving access. We never see or store your passwords for those accounts.
What we access from Google
With your permission, we access your Google Business Profile information: the business locations you manage and their details (such as name, address, and phone number), regular hours and special or holiday hours, and posts on your listing. We use this access to read the current details and to update hours and publish posts that you approve.
What we access from Meta (Facebook and Instagram)
With your permission, we access the Facebook Pages you choose to connect and the Instagram professional account linked to them, including basic Page and account details (such as name, ID, and profile picture) and permission to publish posts. We only ask for the permissions needed to do this.
How we use it
We use data from connected accounts only to make the changes and posts you approve by text (or, on Autopilot, the posts and review replies you've authorized), to read your recent captions and follower and comment counts so Autopilot posts match your voice and audience, to draft replies to your reviews, to show you previews, and to confirm what went live. On plans that include human review, a person on our team may see the listing or post details involved in a change you asked for, only to check that change before it goes out.
How we protect it
- The access tokens Google and Meta give us are encrypted in storage and in transit, and are used only by the systems that publish your approved changes.
- We don't sell data from connected accounts, and we don't share it with advertisers, ad networks, or data brokers.
- We don't use it for advertising, and we don't use it to train AI models.
How to disconnect
- Text DISCONNECT to your TextYourWeb number, or email hello@textyourweb.com.
- Or remove our access yourself. For Google: in your Google Account, open Security, then "Your connections to third-party apps & services," and remove TextYourWeb. For Facebook and Instagram: in Facebook, open Settings & privacy, then Settings, then Business integrations (or Apps and websites), and remove TextYourWeb.
- When you disconnect, we stop using that access right away and delete the tokens and the account data we stored from that service within 30 days, except records we're required by law to keep. Posts already published stay on Google, Facebook, or Instagram until you remove them there. See data deletion instructions.
Google API Services User Data Policy
TextYourWeb's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Text messaging
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or text messaging opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Mobile information is shared only with service providers who help us deliver messages (such as our SMS carrier partner), and only to provide the service.
Who we share data with
Service providers that help us run TextYourWeb, such as hosting, messaging, and AI providers, under agreements that limit their use of your data. When you approve a change for a connected account, we send that content to Google or Meta to publish it. We may also share data if required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data while you're a customer and for a reasonable period after, unless you ask us to delete it sooner and we're not required to keep it. Data from a connected account is deleted within 30 days of disconnecting it.
Your choices
- Text STOP to stop receiving texts.
- Text DISCONNECT to remove our access to your Google, Facebook and Instagram accounts.
- Email us to access, correct, or delete your data. See data deletion instructions.
